Facilitator Spotlight

Meet Tanya, one of our dedicated facilitators at CDFY. Tanya was drawn to become a facilitator by her unwavering passion for helping children make informed choices in their lives. Believing that empowerment through information and support can significantly impact decision-making, Tanya has been involved with CDFY since this past summer. Having a personal connection through her youngest son Finnegan, who was a safety kid, Tanya views CDFY’s message as an absolute necessity in our current culture. Despite her relatively short tenure, Tanya has already created numerous impactful and memorable moments. One such instance that stands out occurred when she chose to sit with a non-English-speaking student, using Google Translate on her phone to bridge the communication gap. Witnessing the student gradually connect with others was a source of joy for Tanya. As a person who cherishes Christmas, Tanya’s favorite memory involves the chaotic introduction of a new dog in 2016, who enthusiastically toppled the freshly decorated Christmas tree the day after it was put up.

Thank you Tanya for sharing your time and talents with our area youth!
